Our Mission

Babel Institute is an independent, nonpartisan think tank dedicated to shaping public policy with a focus on young people.

Founded in 2025, Babel brings together young leaders, scholars, and policymakers to ensure that the voices and perspectives of the next generation inform the decisions that shape their future. Through research, education, and community engagement, Babel develops policy recommendations that are practical, just, and people-centered.

We are the Youth. In One Language. With One Voice, We Speak!

Verity

Policy research has little impact if it does not reach the public sphere. Verity is the platform where Babel Institute’s research and analysis are published and where youth voices enter the policy debate. It features the Institute’s research outputs — policy briefs, essays, and reports — alongside contributions from young people in the form of opinion pieces and personal narratives.

What makes Verity distinct is the way it pairs rigorous analysis with lived experience. This combination not only informs policymakers and practitioners but also gives young people a direct role in shaping the debates that define their future.

Support Our Work

The work we do at Babel depends on voluntary contributions. We do not charge students to participate in the Emerging Leaders Program, the Babel Scholars Program, or to publish in Verity. Donations directly cover program costs — tuition for Scholars in Africa, prizes for capstone projects by Emerging Leaders, and the editorial and publishing expenses that bring youth writing to a global audience.

Support for Babel is not symbolic. It pays for the research and writing carried out by our students and fellows and ensures their work reaches policymakers and the public.

By giving, you help sustain a think tank that brings new voices and new ideas into policy debates.
