Johanna Krueger
Europe Studies Fellow
Johanna is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, and Policy at Central European University in Vienna, Austria. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rutgers University.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of populist politics, the energy economy, and global political economy.
Johanna spent most of her life in the United States and grew up visiting Germany frequently. She is now living in Vienna, where she is experiencing life in a German-speaking country for the first time. This fall, she will spend her Erasmus semester at Sciences Po in Paris.
At Babel Institute, Johanna plans to explore the impact of the war in Ukraine on energy and politics in the European Union through a combination of research and lived experience.
