Maddy is a sophomore at Barnard College of Columbia University, pursuing a double major in political science and psychology. Her passions center on expanding equitable access to legal resources and uplifting unheard voices in her community. She is also interested in the intersection of the human psyche and criminology and hopes to work in the criminal justice sector on behalf of underrepresented clients.

Maddy’s academic and professional experience includes leading canvassing efforts for electoral campaigns, working with local legislators on important issues in her home state of New Jersey, and creating graphic designs for advocacy-based organizations.

Outside of these experiences, Maddy enjoys painting her nails, trying new makeup routines, and cooking Pinterest-worthy meals.

As a U.S. Studies Fellow at Babel Institute, Maddy’s research and analysis focus on pressing issues affecting young Americans and how those issues influence social attitudes.
