Nicole Jacob

Africa Studies Fellow

Nicole Jacob is a Master of International Affairs candidate at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, with a focus on international security.

Her research interests focus on the intersection of health systems, diaspora engagement, economic resilience, and security, with particular attention to how youth employment and migration shape political stability in emerging markets.

Nicole previously served as a Campaign Field Director for a major political organization during the 2024 U.S. election cycle, where she led large-scale voter engagement operations and coordinated with local and federal campaigns.

She has also worked with refugee and immigrant communities through nonprofit initiatives focused on resettlement and language access.

She holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and is based in New York City.
