Patrick Slover
Africa Studies Fellow
Patrick is a rising Junior at Boston University studying International Relations and Political Science. His concentrations focus on international systems and global order in Asia, and how key actors like China influence development in regions around the world.
At Boston University, Patrick has served as President of The Politica, a student organization focused on political discourse that also produces a podcast, as a staff writer for the International Relations Review, and as the incoming Advocacy Director for the Boston University chapter of Students for the United Nations.
He currently works as a Community Services and Resettlement Intern with International Institute of New England where he works with refugee communities in initial resettlement services and programs for long-term integration.
This upcoming semester he will be studying and interning abroad in Shanghai where he will continue to build his foreign language skills and contribute to research surrounding sustainable policies and practices for businesses, communities, and state actors.
