Rina Smith
Latin America Studies Fellow
Rina Smith is a fourth-year student at The Ohio State University, majoring in international studies and Spanish with a minor in social justice advocacy and public policy.
She has previously worked at the university’s Center for Latin American Studies and with the Ohio Senate Minority Caucus, gaining experience in public policy, government, and regional affairs. Her academic interests include Central and South American politics and Indigenous rights.
Rina is passionate about civil rights, immigration, democracy, and advancing diverse representation in politics. She is particularly interested in how law, public policy, and political institutions influence access to justice and civic participation.
