Sophia Alicea is a student of Diplomacy and International Law at the University of New York in Prague. She is a Regional Security Studies Africa Fellow with the NATO Veterans Initiative and a Young Leader in Foreign and Security Policy Fellow at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.

Her research focuses on international law, terrorism and religious extremism, maritime security, gender-based violence, and post-conflict governance in Africa and the MENA region.

Her work has been published in The Harvard College Law Review, International Policy Digest, Modern Treatise, and The Diplomatic Envoy.
